Snippet from Heaven’s Ant Farm:  This is what Lucifer told Eve in Eden.

Eve smiles at the serpent. “I’ve never heard of an ancestor named Lucsssfer.”

The snake answers with silence, punctuated by gritty sounds.

Then it opens its fanged mouth to yawn. The strange static in her head all but disappears. “My . . . name . . . isssss . . . Lucifer. I am an elder from a time before there were trees in this forest, before there was dirt in this forest, before water flowed through this forest. I was here before this forest . . . was a forest. Now I am here for you, Eve.”
